We were born from the most iconic pink of Yucatán—a color that reflects the purity of our waters, the magic of our surroundings, and the story of a community that, for over 80 years, has lived in harmony with salt.

Today we’re celebrating, and we want to share it with you. Las Coloradas is a perfect bond with nature —a place where the sea, the sun, and the wind come together to create a unique phenomenon: the natural process of sea salt.
From the moment seawater enters our lagoons to the formation of the crystals that mark the end of the cycle, each stage reflects the collaboration between humankind and the environment.
The pink color, which gives us our identity, appears at the final stage of this process, when the salt concentration reaches its peak and natural microorganisms tint the water with that magical hue that has captivated the world.
From tradition to experience
What began as a salt-producing endeavor has evolved into a space that shares with the world the beauty and value of our environment.
Four years ago, we opened our doors to tourism, becoming a meeting point between productive tradition and respect for nature.
Today, those who visit us don’t just discover a unique landscape—they also witness a living story: the story of the hands that, generation after generation, have shaped these salt crystals born from the sea.
